What makes our supervision/mentoring different?
NO SUCH THING AS A SILLY QUESTION We create a safe space where you can explore ideas, admit uncertainty, and work through challenges without judgment.
PERMISSION TO GET CURIOUS Supervision isn’t about being told what to do. It’s about pondering together, exploring possibilities, and building your own clinical reasoning.
RELATIONSHIP-BASED LENS We ground supervision in connection-before-skills approaches, neurodiversity-affirming practice, and respectful therapeutic relationships.
PRACTICAL & RELEVANT We focus on what’s actually useful for your practice right now, not theoretical frameworks that don’t translate.
EXPERIENCE WITHOUT HIERARCHY Rachel brings 30+ years of paediatric OT experience, but supervision is collaborative. Your expertise in your setting matters.
NEW GRADUATES Building foundational clinical reasoning, navigating first jobs, developing confidence in assessment and intervention.
EXPERIENCED CLINICIANS Refining practice, exploring new frameworks (neurodiversity-affirming, trauma-informed), preventing burnout, staying curious.
OTS WORKING WITH SIMILAR CLIENTS Children 0-12 years with developmental delay, neurodevelopmental differences, complex presentations. Community-based practice.
CLINICIANS WANTING REFLECTIVE PRACTICE Regular space to step back, think deeply about your work, and maintain professional growth.

Rachel's supervision philosophy
“I love supporting fellow paediatric OTs. There’s something powerful about creating space for clinicians to reflect deeply on their practice, trust their clinical reasoning, and grow their confidence. Supervision shouldn’t feel like being assessed or judged. It should feel like having a trusted colleague who’s there to ponder alongside you, offer perspective from experience, and remind you that you know more than you think you do. My role is to hold space for your learning, ask good questions, share what I’ve learned over three decades, and support you to develop your own clinical wisdom.”
— Rachel van der Linden, Founder & Principal OT
1:1 support provides personalised guidance tailored to your specific needs, enhancing your clinical reasoning, skills, and confidence. It offers a safe space for confidential discussions, reflection on practice, targeted support for challenging client situations, and consideration of self-care/work-life balance.
Support can be provided in a number of ways, depending on your needs and availability.
Most sessions are 'external' (ie mentor is not in your place of work) via online video call or phone call.
If you are located in Adelaide, face-to-face sessions can be considered.
Support can also be provided in other ways such as email conversation, proofreading and feedback for reports/summaries, etc.
Small group support is also available - up to 4 clinicians per session
Currently (April 2026), 1:1 support is $220/hour (GST included).
This cost is for individual, and/or up to 4 clinicians in a session.
If you are based in Adelaide, and looking for face-to-face support, travel charges will be added, based on time taken for the return trip (from Semaphore Park)
You are invited to schedule a free "discovery call" with me. During this call, we can discuss your needs and share potential solutions. Afterward, you can determine if this is the right fit for you.
You can contact me using the "Contact us for more information" button below if you would like to arrange a discovery call.
Absolutely! We can focus on specific client cases, discuss strategies, and explore solutions tailored to those situations.
Additionally, we can work on broader professional development areas such as clinical reasoning, ethical considerations, skill enhancement, professional goal setting, self-care strategies and career development.
Check out our clinician resources page for training and resources too
It’s helpful to come prepared with specific questions, case studies, or topics you’d like to discuss.
Reflecting on your recent experiences and any challenges you’re facing will make our time together more productive.
You can also share any relevant documentation or client details in advance if you would like more specific feedback/information.
We suggest that you keep a record of the session information for your own learning and you can send through your summary of the session for 'signing off' to use as proof for CPD activities.
